About
An engineer, a dashcam, and a mild obsession with lakeside roads.
Endless Roads is what happens when someone who builds software for a living decides that the world has enough vlogs and not nearly enough two-hour drives with nobody talking over them.
I live on the Swiss shore of Lake Geneva, about twenty minutes from the Jet d'Eau and roughly one hedge away from France. That puts the lake, the Geneva countryside and all of Haute-Savoie within a tank of fuel, which is convenient, because that's where most of these drives happen. Occasionally the car points south and doesn't stop until the Riviera.
Every film is the road exactly as it unfolded. No narration, nothing sped up, no music over the engine unless the description says so. Chapters mark the villages and the viewpoints; the map on each page shows where it actually goes. Put it on a TV and leave it running, or ride along properly. Both are allowed.
What this channel is not
- A travel guide. I don't know where to park in Évian either.
- Fast. Speed limits are observed with the enthusiasm of a man who likes his licence.
- Talkative. The most you'll get is a caption, and only if you turn them on.
